Product Description

Curcumin is a diketone compound extracted from the rhizomes of some plants in the Zingiberaceae and Araceae family. The chemical formula is C21H20O6. Curcumin is an orange-yellow crystalline powder with a slightly bitter taste and insoluble in water. It is mainly used for the coloring of sausage products, canned food, and sauce products in food production. Curcumin has the effects of lowering blood lipids, anti-tumor, anti-inflammatory, choleretic, and anti-oxidant.
Curcuminoids extracted from turmeric can be further divided into: curcumin(CCM), demethoxycurcumin(DMC) and bisdemethoxycurcumin(BDMC). The higher the content of DMC and BDMC, the more orange the color of the product; the higher the content of CCM, the more yellow the product color.

1. Turmeric extract is mainly used in many foods as a coloring in cheese, beverages and cakes;
